Ozark City teachers will soon be doing more with their students and technology. A new technology grant will enable all teachers and administrators to improve their technology skills through online and face to face technology training. The focus of the grant is on Project Based Learning to increase student achievement. A cadre of high school and middle school teachers will receive interactive white boards, projectors, learner response devices, video and still cameras, and software. A larger group of K-12 teachers, The 21st Century Teacher Corp, will be the trainers for all other teachers as they learn to implement the Project Based Units with technology tools. The grant, which is funded through Federal Stimulus Funds, is designed to improve student learning and engagement and to increase the graduation rate.
