Phonetic Alphabet

The phonetic alphabet is a common code in the army, in which a certain word describes a letter. Alpha, for example, means "A". Once you know the code, common words and phrases can be said using this code. Tango India, for example, could mean "Tank Installment". Knowing this code allows you to say things that others would not understand. Below is a table that describes each letter and its corrasponding phonetic word. Note: The phonetic alphabet may differ from other branches of the military (the Navy, Marines, etc)

JROTC Rank Abbreviations

Each of the above ranks has an abbreviation that is used when the cadets name is writted or said (i.e. C/PVT Firstname Lastname). Below is a table of all of the abbreviations of the ranks, in order from lowest to highest. The C/ in front of all ranks stands for "Cadet," and is there because this is JROTC, not the military. In the real military the ranks are the same, but the "Cadet" in front is not there. Also, the ranks go much higher.
