The goal of the Cosmetology Program is to prepare students for a successful career in cosmetology. Cosmetology courses prepare students to work in a salon as a shampoo assistant by allowing students to earn their shampoo assistant license. This program also encourages students to take cosmetology in college or a private accredited cosmetology school. Upon completion of postsecondary training, students can take the Alabama State Board of Cosmetology Exam and become a licensed cosmetologist.

One of the many perks of cosmetology courses are all of the hands-on experiences. Students receive their own mannequins and professional kits to use in the class and at home.
