Cecilia Stanford is the Junior and Senior Guidance Counselor. Every since she was a little girl, around 4 years old, she knew she wanted to be a teacher. Thanks to her dad, who is now resting in heaven, this dream was encouraged by installing a chalkboard on her wall about 4 feet high.  It was there she diligently taught her dolls every day for hours and hours! As an adult, she has learned teaching is much more than imparting knowledge. It is inspiring change and building relationships! This philosophy has kept her motivated as she moved through her career as an educator.

Mrs. Stanford completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN. She has two Master's Degrees from Troy University Dothan in Secondary Mathematics and School Counseling. In 2013, she completed her Education Specialist Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. She has been in education for a little over 26 years teaching at Carroll, Wallace Community College, Enterprise State Community College and Troy University. She truly enjoys being a part of the "Eagle Family." She states the faculty and staff are nothing short of amazing! She gets the opportunity to work with students on a daily basis that are both inspiring and transformational. Mrs. Stanford enjoys being a part of their journey with graduation being the pinnacle.

In her spare time, Mrs. Stanford enjoys spending time with her husband, CW3(R) Len Stanford, and their kids, LaQuincia, Laurance, and Ryan. She loves to travel, read, cook, 'watch' sports, and take continuing education classes such as real estate and income taxes.  Currently, Mrs. Stanford is pursuing an accounting degree for "life after retirement!"

Mrs. Stanford is grateful God directed her to the best career for her. She truly believes there is no other occupation that would bring her the joy,personal satisfaction and development that working with teenagers has.
