Dear Mixon Eagle Family,
I am both excited and humbled to serve in such a well-reputed school system. Superintendent Reeivice Girtman and the current administration are devoted to making Ozark City Schools the BEST small school system anywhere! #ONEeagle
A little about myself...I was born and raised in Port St. Joe, Florida. In 2012, I moved to Alabama to be closer to family. I have served in four school systems and have twenty years of experience in public school education. I am married to Jack McGee, and we have two fur-babies: Livy Gray (chihuahua) and Buster Brown (American Bulldog). I am a huge animal lover, an avid reader, and a fresh cup of coffee is my jam!
Before becoming the Principal at Mixon Intermediate School, I served fourteen years as a second grade teacher at Port St. Joe Elementary School (2003-2012) and Eufaula Primary School (2012-2017). I was then recruited to Admiral Moorer Middle School in Eufaula to teach seventh grade English Language Arts (2017-2020). I began the second phase of my career in education as assistant principal at Troy Elementary School (2020-2023). Now, I serve as your principal; I can think of no greater honor.
I am convinced it takes parents/guardians and a strong team of dedicated educators to provide the necessary support needed for a child to receive a well-rounded education. We are partners in your child’s education, and our school is committed to do what it takes to see your child thrive! Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns. I can be reached at the school: 334-774-4912. Thank you for entrusting your most precious asset in the hands of Mixon Intermediate School.
