  • Carroll High School's Career Center restructured instruction into smaller learning communities known as college & career-themed academies in the fall of 2012. Student interests and career focuses are used to bring relevance to their high school curriculum requirements as well as their future college and career aspirations. Our students create a plan for their future in ninth grade and work toward achieving their goals as they learn for life through their individualized high school studies.

We are proud to be able to announce that Carroll High School and CHS Career Center were awarded AdvancED STEM Certification in 2015 when the system completed and passed our District AdvancED Certification. We became the first schools in Alabama and the 9th in the nation to attain this distinction!

We also have many students who are already earning college credits through our Dual-Enrollment programs offered by Wallace Community College and EnterpriseState Community College (in Aviation Maintenance). Dual-enrollment gives our students a head start!

CHS Career Center is a Simulated Workplace Site! CTE teachers are implementing the Alabama Simulated Workplace Initiative. Our CTE classrooms are now student-led companies.

At CHS and the Career Center we have embarked on a Journey to Success to ensure our students receive the very best education in the Wiregrass. I invite you to contact me with any questions or concerns anytime @ 334-774-4949 or email: warren.weeks@ozarkcityschools.net
