Hello, my name is Michael Hatcher.  I am excited to be in the English Department at Carroll High School.  I know many of you as parents and many of your children from their time at D.A. Smith Middle School, where I was based for 15 years.  I have been privileged to have spent my entire career in Ozark City Schools; I know without a doubt the greatness of which Ozark students are capable.

I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism.  Later, I went back to the Loveliest Village on the Plains where I received my Masters Degree in English Education; my decision to become a teacher is one that I have never regretted for an instant.  I truly feel at home in a classroom, where today's students are molded into tomorrow's citizens. I am blessed to have a wonderful wife, Jennifer, and three fantastic children, Emily, Rebekah, and Aidan.  In my spare time, I love to follow sports (especially football, baseball, and basketball), read, and spend time with my family.
