Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Danika Ogunade
My name is Danika Ogunade and this is my 8th year teaching and my 7th year at Carroll High School. Here at CHS, I teach AP US GOPO, AP MACRO as well as general US Gov and Econ. I grew up in Ozark, but I was born in California and have strong roots to the west coast. I graduated from GW Long High School before attending The University of Alabama where I became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. I ultimately transferred to Cal State University East Bay where I received a BA in US History and a teaching credential in Secondary Social Science. I also have a teaching credential in Business Education and I am currently working on my MA in History Education from UWA. If you see me outside of school, it would most likely be at the Dairy King as my parents own the restaurant and I often help out when I’m not teaching. I believe in being involved so I am the senior class sponsor, the remote teacher special for the social studies department and also the government club sponsor. I am a Christian woman and belong to Ozark First Assembly where I also teach a Wednesday night rainbows class for 3-4 year olds. Outside of that, I absolutely love to travel and have been to 21 states and 4 countries…I’ve got a lot more to go! I recently got married to the best man/ coach in the Wiregrass and he makes me a better person. We both have a passion for working with the youth in our community and are big supporters of the city of Ozark. We are HUGE sports fans, especially for The Alabama Crimson Tide, The Oakland Athletics, The Warriors and The San Francisco 49ers. It’s all about the A’s and elephants for me. My obsessions are my family, the color pink, singing, watching DWTS, board games, holidays, 80s & 90s music, Next Level Nutrition, tacos, my dog: Peanut, Burts Bees chapstick, shoes, ice cream and coffee. I absolutely love to teach and help students reach new heights!
