Degrees and Certifications:
Kristen Cruit is a native of Ozark, Alabama where she has taught for nine years. She obtained a B.A. in Elementary Education from Troy University and a M.Ed. Instructional Leadership from The University of West Alabama. Mrs. Cruit’s teaching experience has primarily been at the middle school level where she currently serves as a Response to Instruction Interventionist.
Mrs. Cruit has a passion for the at-risk student population and has co-sponsored her district’s at-risk program for the past two years. The success of this program relies on collaboration, communication, and community partnerships. Her passion for the success of these students flows into her work as the Response to Instruction teacher and Problem-Solving Team member.
She believes that student success is built through meaningful relationships and strives to communicate the value of each student she teaches. She is an active member of the Building Leadership Team and Parental Engagement Committee at her school and uses these experiences as an opportunity to influence teaching and learning. Mrs. Cruit is driven by her desire to create a culture of excellence inside of her classroom and within the local community.
