Amanda Melby

Amanda Melby graduated from G.W. Long in 1989 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Austin Peay State University in 1994. She has taught for 19 years, and is starting her 9th year at D.A. Smith Middle School as the 6th grade science teacher. She earned her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Troy University in 2018. She lives in Skipperville with her husband, who is retired from the U.S. Army. Their son Eric is a recent graduate of the University of South Alabama and their daughter Elizabeth is a junior at Auburn University. Mrs. Melby loves spending time with her family and 3 dachshunds, exploring nature,and reading.
