Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Stephen Phillips
My name is Stephen Phillips and I am the Director of Career and Technical Education at Carroll High School Career Center. As an Ozark native and Carroll High graduate, I am beyond excited about the opportunity to serve in this great community and school system. This is my tenth year as an educator. I graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, and have taught at Valley High School, D.A. Smith Middle School, and Enterprise High School. I earned my Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership and Administration in 2018 from Troy University Dothan.
As the new CTE Director, I am excited about working alongside the educators at CHS to increase awareness among our students about existing career opportunities and to assist in equipping them with the knowledge, soft-skills, and business and industry-recognized credentials that will make them highly sought-after employees upon graduating from high school and college.
I have been married to Kathy Phillips for three years. We have a daughter, Caroline, who was born in October. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis and chess, and reading.
